Kirtan With Friends is Moving to Studio Vox at Woolloongabba on Brisbane’s southside
We are excited to announce that Kirtan With Friends is moving to an amazing new venue on Brisbane’s southside.
After many moons at SOBA in West End, our Third Saturday event will be moving to Studio Vox in Woolloongabba from September onwards.
Studio Vox is ideally located at 3/212 Logan Rd, Woolloongabba, directly across from Buranda Train Station.
Major bus routes stop along Logan Road within metres of the studio entrance, which is located on Vanda Street, and ample parking is available.
We are very grateful to SOBA for their support over the years and will always cherish the many memories we’ve made there together.
Equally, we are excited for our next chapter and can’t wait to chant with you all in this wonderful new space with Kirtan With Janardan on Saturday, September 26!

Why are we moving from Soba to Studio Vox?
We are moving to a space that better supports our growing community, offers a more family-friendly setup, and provides easier access and parking for everyone on Saturday evenings.
How is the new venue better for families and kids?
At Soba, the reception area opened directly into the main chanting room, which made it tricky for parents managing active or vocal little ones during the session.
Studio Vox features a completely closed-off reception area separate from the main room. This allows kids to play, move around, and make noise comfortably without interrupting the kirtan inside.
Is parking easier at Studio Vox compared to Soba?
Yes, significantly easier! Soba’s inner-city main street location often made finding a park stress-inducing, especially if you were running a few minutes late on a Saturday. Studio Vox sits on a quiet residential street with plenty of free street parking right outside and along the surrounding side streets.
Is the new location accessible by public transport?
Very much so. Studio Vox is situated right near Buranda Train Station and major busway networks in Woolloongabba, making it a quick and straightforward trip for anyone taking public transport.
Are event times changing?
No, our regular Third Saturday schedule and times remain exactly the same.
